In the laboratory, hydrogen gas is prepared by the reaction of Hydrochloric with zinc granules in a flask.
To this, dilute or dilute sulphuric acid is added through a thistle funnel.
Dihydrogen gas is released and the gas is collected by the downward displacement of water because it is a gas lighter than water
