To find, Area of triangle AMC
Here,
(i) Area of triangle ABC = \(\frac12\) BC x AD {Area of a triangle = \(\frac12\) base x height}
= \(\frac12\) x 6cm x 8cm
= 24cm2
(ii) Area of triangle AMC = \(\frac12\) area of triangle ABC {Median CM bisects triangle ABC}
= \(\frac12\) x 24cm2
Therefore area of triangle AMC = 12cm
