Nepal government has made various attempts for natural resources conservation by forming various ministries like the ministry of forest and soil conservation, the ministry of water resources, the ministry of environment and science, etc. They formulate plans and policies for the conservation of natural resources and implement them with the support of existing laws. The national and international organizations have been working for natural resources conservation. Some of the international organizations such as Leo Club, Lions Club, Rotary Club, JAYCEES, IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural resource), ICIMOD (International Center for Integrated Mountain Development), WWF (World Wildlife Fund), UNEP (United Nations Environment Program), etc. are also contributing for the conservation of the natural resources. These agencies may formulate their own strategies or help in the implementation of the conservation program in a sustainable way. Various non-governmental organizations like local communities, clubs, research centers, etc are conducting various programs for natural resources conservation in different places. They are contributing to making people aware regarding natural resources conservation. They conduct street dramas, films, essay competitions, tree plantations, sanitation activities, etc.
