Geographical structure of Africa :
- Most of the area of Africa has plateaus, sand and rocks. It is also called plateau of plateaus.
- The climate of most part of Africa is tropical type as the equator passes from the center of it.
- Dry climate is experienced in the center as it is far away from the sea.
- There are Atlas mountain range in the North West region. Mt Kilimanjaro in the central east and Darken berg mountain range in the southern region of this continent.
- Sahara, the largest desert of the world lies in the Northern region while Namib and Kalahari deserts lie in the south.
- There is the Rift Valley ( the longest valley of the world) which extends from the Red Sea in the North to Zambezi river in the south.
- Victoria lake lies in the center of this continent .
- The longest river Nile is originated from the lake Victoria which drains into the Mediterranean sea in the north.
- The evergreen forest of the Congo Basin lies in the central western region while Savanna grassland known as the zoo of the world lies in the central east. The climate of most part of Africa is not suitable for human health.
