Angle between two lines 7x – 3y = 5 and 14x – 6y – 3 = 0

The lines 7x - 3y = 5 and 14x - 6y - 3 = 0 are
  1. Perpendicular
  2. parallel
  3. Intersecting but not perpendicular
  4. coincident

1 Answer

Here, 7x - 3y - 5 = 0 ---- (i)

And, 7x - 3y - \(\frac32\) = 0 ---- (ii)

Clearly slope of (i) is equal to slope of (ii), hence two lines are parallel
