Humanities is a two-year program designed for students interested in working in the social field. The humanities cover many topics, such as journalism, mass communication, English, and so on. This course itself is a multi-package that offers many alternative disciplines to choose from for further study. Humanities provide knowledge of society, life, art, culture, and more. Students will gain broad knowledge to help them understand the basic concepts of the course. Students will develop their creativity, writing, and communication skills and understand various aspects of human life.
+2 The humanities also lay the foundation for higher education. Students of this current have many opportunities to graduate. At the bachelor's degree level, students have the option of a bachelor's degree in art (B.A.), a bachelor's degree in pedagogy (B.Ed.), a bachelor's degree in social work (BSW), a bachelor's degree in sociology, a bachelor's degree in mass communication and journalism, and many other courses. students study all interesting topics depending on their interests. This stream is considered wider than any other program.
This program is becoming increasingly popular today because it opens the door to many jobs. Students can work in any area of their interest by completing one of the courses. This stream is useful for students who want to explore their creativity and social skills. This stream has a wide reach, from NGOs, NGOs to many other development activities, such as field visits. Students in this field have a great opportunity to work as a teacher, journalists, moderators, consultants, artists, event organizers, lawyers, editors, translators, and many others. Although it was an abandoned stream in the past, due to its renewed scope, the demand for it gradually increased and in the current context, it has become a good field for better career advancement. Today, students of this current value this more and understand its meaning and contribution.
Humanities are offered at various universities in Nepal. Students who have passed the SLC can apply for this course and must meet the qualification criteria depending on the school's own rules and regulations. Studying the humanities at +2 opens up endless career paths for a better future.
Students must have completed SEE or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 1.6. He/She should have a minimum D+ in English, Nepali, and Social Studies.
