परीक्षा तयारी टिप्स Exam preparation tips

August 11, 2019

Exam time can be worst nightmare for most of the students especially when students are less prepared and subjects are tough. But with little bit of care, exercise and schedule one can easily heavily reduce exam pressure. You just need to know how to properly prepare for the exams. Proven to be best for Nepalese students community we have prepared 8 helpful tips that will help you through this hard time.

Here is the first deal : You must not equally allocate time to every subject. Some subject are easier for you while some are difficult, so distribute time accordingly.

  1. Organise your study space.

How do you normally study? Do you prefer lying on bed over sitting on chair? or do you prefer spreading yourself on floor over walking here and there? Every people have their own way of studying which they have developed over the years right from their childhood. Here are four steps to create study space in your room.

        1. Remove all distractions. Remember! when you plan to study, complete some notes and homework, your room should not look like a museum or a play station. So very important get rid of all distractions like your video games, iPhone, multiple monitors,  messy/junk foods and other people (unless you are working in group). At the end your goal is to maximise attention on study.
        2. Collect everything you need before you start to study. These include textbooks, notebooks, extra pen, pencils, sharpeners, calculators, index cards, pad papers, computer (if necessary).
        3. Pay attention to light in your room. Lighting is especially important if you’re reading from a paper textbook or doing other paper work (such as maths problem sets). If you’re having to squint at the book, then you probably need more light (or glasses).
        4. Adjust your room to ideal temperature (if possible). Imbalance in temperature can cause laziness, which is a major distraction.
  1. Use flow charts and diagrams

A flowchart is a diagram that captures different steps in a sequential order. It is a symbolic representation of a process. It consists of various symbols, arrows and short descriptions connected together to show the flow of a process. A rigorous study material or curriculum can be overwhelming for a student. Too vast a syllabus might lead to improper planning and one might lose focus and control over excessive work. However, right studying strategies can make learning easier. It is up to the learner to incorporate a methodology in the daily study routine, which will help in understanding concepts that leads to excellence in performance. Flow charts can be useful in following ways.

        • Promotes active reading and learning
        • Helps in identifying important information
        • It organises data in a structured framework
        • Easy to understand and apply
        • Adding colours to a flowchart advances better scope for learning faster.

3. Practice on old exams.

Studying past papers are a valuable part of exam preparation and help keep revision focused on important themes whilst practising exam style questions. Past exam papers are one of the most helpful tools available to prepare for both internal and external examinations as they provides students with practical insight into how the forthcoming exam paper is likely to look and the key themes or subject areas most likely to be covered. Before starting revision for a subject it is always worth taking time to seek out past papers.

  1. Explain your answers to others.
  2. Organise study groups with friends.
  3. Take regular breaks.
  4. Snack on brain food.
  5. Plan your exam day.
